Bill Skarsgård & Dacre Montgomery To Star In ‘Dead Man’s Wire’ For Gus Van Sant
'Dead Man's Wire,' starring Bill Skarsgård and Dacre Montgomery, is heading into production with Gus Van Sant directing.
Written by Austin Kolodney, the film is based on the true story of the blue collar Tony Kiritsis (Skarsgård), who, feeling cheated by his mortgage company, rigs a shotgun to his broker’s neck… in what became an almost unimaginable three-day hostage situation that played out live on the airwaves of Indianapolis in 1977. Next to be seen playing Count Orlok in Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu, which releases on Christmas Day, Skarsgård’s upcoming slate also includes It: Welcome to Derry, which he exec produces, and the David Yarovesky thriller Locked. Best known for starring on Stranger Things, which is heading into its final season, Australian actor Montgomery also has Legendary’s Faces of Death remake coming up, as well as Went Up the Hill, a horror thriller with Vicky Krieps, which Greenwich Entertainment just acquired.
