Bill Sammon, a longtime Washington-based TV news executive, has been named to oversee coverage of the nation's capital for Nextar's Hill, NewsNation
Sammon, who left Fox News in 2021 after the outlet came under scrutiny for making an early call for President Joe Biden’s victory in Arizona in the 2020 presidential election, was recently tapped to help out with NewsNation’s coverage of the 2024 race. He served as a liaison with Decision Desk HQ, a voter-data analysis firm that guided NewsNation on the calls it made during Election Night. “I’m grateful for the chance to work with Nexstar’s incredible team of outstanding journalists,” said Sammon, in a statement.
