Bill Murray Reprises Nick The Lounge Singer For ‘SNL50’ Concert With Paul Shaffer & Special Guests
Nearly 50 years after creating the character, Bill Murray brought back Nick the Lounge Singer for 'SNL50: The Homecoming Singer'.
Murray, who created the character during his 1977-’80 run as an SNL castmember, was then joined by fellow alums Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph and Cecily Strong in ’60s chic backup singer attire, accompanying him with a performance of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s ‘You’re All I Need to Get By’. Paul Schrader and Bill Murray perform with Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph and Cecily Strong on ‘SNL50: The Homecoming Special’ Hosted by alum Jimmy Fallon, the lineup also features Jelly Roll, Brandi Carlile, Mumford & Sons, Lady Gaga, Post Malone, Arcade Fire, Chris Martin, Backstreet Boys, Bonnie Raitt, David Byrne, Brittany Howard, Devo, The Roots, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Robyn, Jack White, Cher, Dave Grohl, Lauryn Hill, Snoop Dogg, St. Vincent and Wyclef Jean.
