Speaking on his Club Random podcast, alongside guest Jane Fonda, Maher said he was “sh*tting his pants” over Donald Trump’s upcoming second Presidency. Trump has taken to social media over the years to call out Maher including in September when he called him “ratings challenged”, a “befuddled mess”, “sloppy and tired” with “B and C list guests”. Fonda tried to encourage the comedian to “find a new thing to do and not do Trump” but Maher replied the “show is the politics”.
