The actress-wife of Bill Hayes, the actor who played the colorful Doug Williams on Days of Our Lives for more than 50 years, has released her first statement since her husband’s passing last week at the age of 98. On her Instagram account that she shared with her husband, Susan Seaforth-Hayes thanked fans for their support under a vintage black and white shot of the couple. The show’s statement also observed that, “He and his wife, Susan Seaforth-Hayes, remained the foundation of the Williams-Horton family spanning more than 50 years.”
