Biggest bombshells about Nickelodeon from 'Quiet on Set': Pedophiles, sexism, more

From pedophiles on set to sexism in the writers’ room, the first part of new docuseries 'Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV' made numerous troubling claims about Nickelodeon during Dan Schneider's reign in the 1990s and early 2000s.

The first two episodes of the four-part docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV aired on Investigation Discovery on Sunday night, and the show dropped a number of disconcerting bombs about the workplace culture at Nickelodeon during the 1990s and early 2000s. Quiet on Set examines the toxic environment at Nick during the reign of megaproducer Dan Schneider, who created and executive produced hit series like The Amanda Show, Drake & Josh, iCarly, and Zoey 101. Each episode of the docuseries ends with the text: “In response to producers’ questions, Nickelodeon has stated it ‘investigates all formal complaints as part of our commitment to fostering a safe and professional workplace… [W]e have adopted numerous safeguards over the years to help ensure we are living up to our own high standards and the expectations of our audience.’”
