Big car manufacturer recalls thousands of vehicles over risk of 'injury or death'

Car manufacturer Hyundai has recalled two models of their electric vehicles over fears that a software fault could cause a power failure that could lead to an accident

Customers who own any of the affected vehicles can contact their Hyundai dealership to have the faulty software updated free of charge. "Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete," the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said at the time. AutoTrader says the Ioniq 6 has a “unique design, great reliability and strong electric range,” and gives it a rating of five stars, while the Ioniq 5 is also a five star car that they say is “mind-bendingly quick; it has an idiot-proof drift mode; it has pretendy gearchanges and manic digital engine sounds and exhaust effects that warp your sense of reality; and it looks like something that Rockstar Games dreamed up for Grand Theft Auto 6.”
