Beyonce added to French dictionary with publication listing her as 'American singer of R&B and pop'

The musician, lovingly nicknamed 'Queen Bey' by fans, has been listed as a noun in a 2024 version of Petit Larousse Illustré.

The Crazy In Love singer, 42, joins a group of 40 personalities, both French and foreign, who have been included in this year's encyclopedic dictionary. Beyonce has a connection to the culture in her family - both of her grandparents on her mothers side were Louisiana Creoles who spoke French, according to The Times. The Destiny's Child alum will also be back on big screens later this year when her animated film, Mufasa: The Lion King, is released.
