Beyoncé Brings Her ‘Cowboy Carter’ Christmas Rodeo to NFL Halftime Show
Beyonce performed 'Cowboy Carter' songs for the first time during halftime at Netflix‘s NFL Christmas Gameday with Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens.
In February, Beyoncé announced the album and shared lead singles “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” during Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé later explained in a statement, was “born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t.” She seemed to be referencing the 2016 CMA Awards, where she performed the Lemonade country cut “Daddy Lessons” for the Nashville audience. Act ii is a result of challenging myself, and taking my time to bend and blend genres together to create this body of work.” Cowboy Carter featured guest appearances from Shaboozey, Miley Cyrus, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Linda Martell, Post Malone, and more.
