The Instagram account VII(N) provided a fierce and raw tribute to ‘Freedom’ by Kendrick Lamar and Beyoncé, captioned ‘Peace in Our Roots. What interested me was how the disclaimer that the post made no ownership claim to the audio did nothing to stir the typical copyright hawk comment come-down that usually would accompany such a declaration and appear in a few hours’ time?
