Jennie Garth has been especially open about her physical and mental health lately. Now, in a new interview with Self, she is admitting the real reason behind the brief split with her husband Dave Abrams

'I've kept it a secret for so long, but I'm no longer at a place where I want to hide things,' she told Self, noting that her I Choose Me podcast helped her realize that. The doctor told her that the pain was because her 'hip joint wasn’t fitting right in its socket, and the tissue in the surrounding area was deteriorating,' with the recommended treatment for that being hip replacement. Garth went in to more detail on her I Choose Me podcast, calling the hormonal changes 'a massive cyclone that comes into your life and just does all kinds of destruction.'
