Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk discovers he’s related to King Charles

Actor, famous for playing Saul Goodman, is told he’s the UK monarch’s 11th cousin on a US television show

But despite being famous for playing the slippery, con-loving lawyer in Breaking Bad and its prequel, Better Call Saul, the actor will discover on TV this week that he is related to royalty. Genealogy-based US television show Finding Your Roots has traced Odenkirk’s family back five generations and found that he is the 11th cousin of King Charles III. The host Henry Louis Gates Jr tells Odenkirk that Steinholz was conceived out of wedlock with the Duke of Plön, who was related to the royal families of Europe due to intermarriage.
