Bette Midler Says She Should’ve Sued the Studio After Lindsay Lohan Exited Sitcom

Bette Midler discussed her failed series 'Bette' in a new podcast, admitting when Lindsay Lohan left, she should have considered suing the actress.

The actress played a version of herself on the CBS show, which saw Midler perform as an adored celebrity living in Los Angeles with her college professor husband, Roy (Kevin Dunn and Robert Hays), and 13-year-old daughter, Rose (Lohan). After Duchovny noted that there are contracts in place to address these types of situations, Midler replied that “the studio didn’t help me. Despite the show’s short-lived run, Lohan appears to have fond memories of her time on Bette and recently posted a photo of her on set with Midler.
