Bette Midler partially blames Lindsay Lohan for her sitcom Bette getting cancelled: 'It was extremely chaotic'


Bette Midler opened up about one of her biggest career regrets while discussing her short-lived sitcom Bette, which aired for just one season on CBS.

While speaking about the series, which was cancelled before it completed its 22-episode order due to increasingly poor ratings, the movie star, 78, admitted that she regrets doing the show, alongside Lindsay Lohan, who portrayed her daughter. At the time, Lohan was fresh off the success of her 1998 film The Parent Trap, and just a few years away from being cast in some of her biggest hits, including Freaky Friday (2003) and Mean Girls (2004). Although it is unclear if Midler still resents Lohan's choice, the mother-of-one posted a sweet throwback of them on set together just last week as she recalled havging a 'blast filming' with the Broadway legend
