Bette Davis Was ‘Not Pleased’ That Bette Midler Was Named After Her


Bette Midler is opening up about being named after Hollywood icon Bette Davis, who apparently didn’t take a liking to her

In the late 1930s, onscreen witches made their mark on popular culture when Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and The Wizard of Oz premiered in 1937 and 1939, respectively. Hocus Pocus is back with an all-new sequel nearly 30 years after the original hit theaters, but the Disney+ movie cast says the biggest change is that the film actually has fans this time around. “Separate bedrooms,” Midler told Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, July 25, while promoting her new comedy, The Fabulous Four.
