Beloved movie star and music icon dies at home after career that spanned the ages
Kris Kristofferson, a country music legend and actor known for movies such as A Star Is Born, has sadly passed away aged 88 at his home in Hawaii, with several celebrities paying tribute.
Kris was known for appearing opposite Barbra Streisand in the 1976 film A Star Is Born as the male lead and for songs such as Me and Bobby McGee and For the Good Times. However, in 2016, his wife revealed that Kris - who started out as a janitor while waiting for his big break - had actually been diagnosed with Lyme Disease, with the correct treatment reversing many of his symptoms.
