Beetlejuice Makes His Grand Return to Winter River in Eerie ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ Trailer
The 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' official teaser trailer arrived on Thursday (March 21).
“Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened,” the description of the Tim Burton-directed series reads, as is seen in the teaser clip when Michael Keaton’s Beetlejuice makes his grand entrance after Lydia finds the unearthed model. The trailer is soundtracked by a spooky, slowed down rendition of Harry Belafonte’s “Day-O,” which was famously featured in the original 1988 film, when a ghostly couple played by Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin haunt a family that moves into their home, and forcing them to perform the classic track with their paranormal abilities. “The relationship between Lydia and Astrid, my character, is very important,” Ortega previously told Vanity Fair of the upcoming sequel.
