Becky Sloviter Named President Of Miramax Motion Picture Group


Becky Sloviter has been named President of Miramax Motion Picture Group following Jonathan Glickman's appointment to CEO at the studio.

Prior to that, she served as Head of Funny Story Films, a division of MRC Film, there producing upcoming titles including the road trip comedy The Inheritance from Emmy winner Ashley Nicole Black ( Ted Lasso, A Black Lady Sketch Show) and the Annie Murphy starrer Witness Protection, from screenwriters David West Read and Rupinder Gill, alongside Alloy Entertainment. In addition to the acclaimed Andy Samberg rom-com Palm Springs, which won the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Comedy in 2020, Sloviter served as an executive producer on Hulu’s PEN15 and Netflix’s Emmy-winning sketch series I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson while running The Lonely Island’s production company, Party Over Here. A joint venture between beIN Media Group and Paramount Global, Miramax has most recently seen the release of Alexander Payne’s coming-of-age drama The Holdovers for Focus Features, which was one of the most decorated titles of this past awards season, as well as David Ayer’s actioner The Beekeeper starring Jason Statham, which has crossed $150 million at the worldwide box office.
