BBC's Sophie Raworth heartbreak as father dies days before VE Day coverage


BBC presenter Sophie Raworth has been at the helm of the broadcaster's VE Day coverage this week.

The 56-year-old broadcaster led the Nation Pays Tribute special on BBC One on the first day of the celebrations, which fell on bank holiday Monday. A source described Sophie as a "consummate professional" to the Daily Mail and Richard's family confirmed his passing in a statement to the outlet, published last night.
