BBC Wildlife Presenter Caught Up In AI Scam


The BBC's Liz Bonnin has been embroiled in an AI voice messages scam involving Incognito and insect repellent.

A well-known BBC wildlife presenter has been caught up in a scam that saw a fake AI-generated program mimic her voice and give permission for her face to be used in an advert. On closer investigation, the voice messages supposedly from Bonnin that had confirmed she was happy to appear in the advert were revealed to be AI-generated. Last week, UK government intervention on AI was urged by TV producer trade body Pact and actors union Equity.
