The annual TV licence fee is £169.50 and is necessary for watching or recording live programmes on any device, including TVs, PCs, laptops, tablets, or phones. If you are blind (severely sight impaired), you may be eligible for a 50 percent concession which covers you or anyone you live with, reports the Express. If you're living in residential care or sheltered accommodation, you might be eligible for a concessionary TV licence at a cost of £7.50 per room, flat or bungalow.
