BBC to air Michael Mosley documentary - featuring his last on-air appearance before tragic death

The BBC has announced two tribute programmes for TV presenter Dr. Michael Mosley, who tragically died aged 67 last week whilst on holiday with his wife in Greece

Michael Mosley - The Doctor Who Changed Britain is set to explore his nearly four-decade-long broadcasting career, following the discovery of the 67 year old's body after he went missing on the island of Symi last Wednesday. The upcoming BBC One special, scheduled to air on Friday at 8pm, will examine how he transformed people's lives and served as an executive producer on shows such as Pompeii The Last Day, Krakatoa Revealed, Life Before Birth, and Supervolcano, the Mirror reports. Michael also shared his own struggles with audiences worldwide; as a chronic insomniac he made programmes about sleep and, ever curious, he would also go to extremes in the pursuit of science, even infecting himself with a tapeworm.
