BBC The Traitors star reveals agonising battle against disorder labelled 'suicide disease'

The Traitors' Charlotte Chilton, who was the latest contestant banished from the show, revealed that she almost took her own life when she was battling with trigeminal neuralgia

Since leaving the show, in scenes which aired last week, the 32 year old has candidly opened up on the chronic condition -trigeminal neuralgia, which has caused her to miss out “on a lot of things in life”. The Traitors star revealed to Metro that she struggled with the pain so much that she “didn’t want to live anymore” and had a “terrible time” after having brain surgery to treat the condition. Charlotte revealed her nerve was 'shredded' during the procedure in a bid to help her, however she ended up suffering with short term memory loss and had to learn to eat, talk and walk again.
