BBC The One Show viewers joke about Paddy McGuinness 'curse' as he hosts show
The One Show viewers were quick to make the same joke as Paddy McGuinness hosted the BBC show alongside Alex Jones, with fans calling him the 'dark destroyer' of primetime TV
Fan-favourite series Take Me Out ended in 2020, and Paddy was axed from A Question of Sport as part of the BBC's schedule shake-up last year. Another fan jokingly added their concern to social media later, and said: "Oh dear, it's Paddy McGuiness the dark destroyer of BBC primetime shows #theoneshow." A show refresh had taken place in 2021 with Paddy as the new host, taking over from former British tennis player Sue Barker, who had been there for 24 years.
