The One Show star made a major announcement about the BBC show on Wednesday's episode as they confirmed one key segment will be taken off air for the summer

In Wednesday's (June 25) instalment of the beloved chat show, presenters Alex Jones and Clara Amfo were joined by Matt Allwright and Nikki Fox to commemorate Watchdog's 40th anniversary. The episode was a tribute to the iconic consumer rights series, with Matt and Nikki reminiscing over some of their most impactful stories, from undercover exposés to influencing significant policy changes and securing hefty refunds for viewers. Watchdog, which first hit the screens on BBC1 on July 14th 1985, has been a champion for consumers, saving them millions and bringing dodgy dealers to justice, even exposing fraudulent schemes.
