BBC The One Show guest issues apology as remark leaves host Alex Jones speechless
The One Show presenters Alex Jones and Alex Scott spoke to Dame Maggie Aderin-Pocock, Gareth Malone and Joel Dommett on Monday's instalment of the BBC show.
However, when the camera swung back to the hosts, an off-guard Alex Jones couldn't hide her reaction, shooting Joel a glance, reports Wales Online. Dame Maggie reassured the public on BBC, explaining that while the asteroid could wreak havoc, its trajectory is under close watch and it's not expected to collide with Earth. When Alex Jones probed about potential countermeasures for an asteroid threat, Dame Maggie outlined our defensive strategies: "When we do spot something that we think is coming towards Earth we have a battalion of things we can do."
