BBC Studios Reviewing India Production Operations, No Decision Made on Exit From Country

BBC Studios India is reportedly eyeing an exit from the subcontinent, according to local media reports.

If finalized, the exit could mark the end of a distinctive chapter in India’s evolving entertainment landscape, leaving fans and collaborators questioning the fate of ongoing and future projects. Under his watch, BBC Studios India produced three seasons of “Criminal Justice,” and adaptations of “The Office,” “Press” as “Broken News” and unscripted formats like “ Dancing With The Stars,” locally rebranded as “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.” Notable BBC Studios India titles also include “Out of Love,” the Indian adaptation of the series “Doctor Foster” and “Gaalivaana,” a Telugu-language crime thriller.
