BBC Strictly's Kate Silverton on her lasting friendship with her dance partner
EXCLUSIVE: BBC newsreader and presenter Kate Silverton has kept in touch and remained friends with her Strictly partner Aljaž Škorjanec - and says her children now love the dance show too
As well as unpacking more boxes in their new country house, Kate, 53, also needs to post a gift to her former partner and his dancer wife Janette Manrara, who had their first baby together, Lyra, in July. Last series she was particularly invested in watching one of the contestants, Annabel Croft, who made it to the semi-finals with Johannes Radebe before being eliminated in the dance off against Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell. The former tennis pro had an incredibly emotional journey on the show as she was still coming to terms with the death of her late husband Mel Coleman, who passed away earlier last year after a short but difficult battle with stomach cancer.
