BBC Strictly Come Dancing hit by major blow as 2024 ratings plummet

BBC Strictly Come Dancing live show viewing figures have plummeted, as the series has reportedly lost more than 3.5 million viewers since 2020 for the first public vote

A source claimed to : "Strictly is still the most watched programme on a Saturday night - getting double the viewers of its nearest ratings rival. And, although the number watching on catch-up is increasing, the BBC always prided itself on the fact that the dance show offered a shared experience." Tom Dean became the first celebrity to be eliminated this series (Image: Guy Levy/BBC/PA Wire) As a result, head judge Shirley Ballas was left to offer the deciding vote.
