BBC star Paul Barnes who presented alongside Anthea Turner dies as tributes pour in

Paul Barnes, who worked across the BBC for years, has died at the age of 85. His wife and fellow broadcaster Helen McDermott paid a touching tribute to his 'full and colourful life'

He was so dedicated to his tastes that he only played music he personally enjoyed on his radio shows, once declaring the worst gift he ever received was a Celine Dion CD. David Clayton, former editor at BBC Radio Norfolk during Paul's tenure, shared a heartfelt tribute highlighting his passion for jazz. His knowledge was vast and his keenness to pass that on to a loyal band of like-minded listeners made for memorable radio shows."
