BBC star Jules Hudson flooded with support as he announces poignant new role

Countryfile presenter Jules Hudson has shared an emotional update about his time in the armed forces as he paid tribute to those who have served on Remembrance Day

As people across the UK remembered fallen British soldiers who died in service, Jules shared some poignant thoughts of his own, revealing he's now a member of the Royal Naval Reserve. The TV presenter then went on to share that his grandfather served as a sailor during the First World War, while his mother's uncle tragically lost his life at sea in 1917, reports the Express. In an emotional tribute on social media, the BBC star wrote: "Well folks, as we pay our respects on Remembrance Day, we can look back upon a momentous year of military commemorations, not least the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day landings and the battle for Arnhem."
