Scottish comedian Janey Godley has sadly passed away at 63 years old, almost three years after publicly revealing that she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer

Janey Godley has passed away at the age of 63, just one month after she told fans she would be receiving palliative care. The star, who received an honorary doctorate from the University of Glasgow while in her hospice bed, died in “surrounded by her loved ones”, her management has confirmed. In an interview with Lorraine Kelly, the star spoke about a conversation Jimmy Carr, who encouraged her not to give up on touring.
