BBC star dramatically quits after 21 years as viewers say 'won't be the same'


A beloved BBC presenter has revealed they are stepping down after an incredible 21 years on the air, with viewers quick to pay tribute to the much-loved star of regional TV

BBC favourite Jeff Brown has announced he's stepping down from his role in Look North after an eventful two decades, which had viewers saying 'nights won't be the same' without him. Keeping professional and with a touch of nostalgia, he shared: "It has been an absolute pleasure and a privilege to work with such talented and dedicated teams over the years, and I'm proud to count them as my friends. I'm also truly grateful to the many people and organisations across the North East and Cumbria who have allowed me to tell their stories, and to be welcomed into hundreds of thousands of homes every night."
