BBC Snaps Up German Crime Drama Series ‘Black Forest Murders’ – Global Bulletin
The BBC has acquired 'The Black Forest Murders,' a four-part German crime series from Studiocanal that dramatizes real-life criminal cases.
Nina Kunzendorf stars as Senior Detective Barbara Kramer, who leads an expanding special investigation unit through months of painstaking evidence collection, while dealing with mounting public pressure and possible connections to a similar Austrian case. “‘The Black Forest Murders’ is an authentic and compelling crime series focussing on the work of a meticulous investigative team,” said Sue Deeks, head of BBC program acquisition. Madaan, whose decade-long career spans Shah Rukh Khan ‘s Red Chillies Entertainment, Disney India and Maddock Films, has announced a slate of three diverse projects.
