BBC Radio 2 DJ Colin Berry dies as tributes pour in for 'wonderful man'


BBC Radio 2 have announced the death of one of their former DJs, Colin Berry, who was a part of the station for more than 30 years and also spent a quarter of a century as the UK's Eurovision jury spokesperson

He joined the BBC in 1973 and continued to read the news on the station as a freelancer until September 2012, leaving a lasting impact on the world of radio, reports the Mirror. He also stepped in for many of the main daytime presenters including Terry Wogan, Jimmy Young and David Hamilton. Radio host Tony Fisher added: "Very sad to hear that the broadcaster Colin Berry has passed away.
