BBC News presenter Aaron Heslehurst has announced that he is stepping down from the channel after over 20 years at the BBC and over 30 years on screen as a broadcaster.

Overwhelmed by the reaction, Aaron returned to X to share: "With tears in my eyes and hand on heart - I was not expecting (at all) such an outpouring of love & gratitude!
