BBC legend dead weeks after starting fourth series of TV hit - as tributes paid to much-loved star

Jude Tindall co-created detective drama Shakespeare and Hathaway and passed away just days before another of her shows, Sister Boniface Mysteries, began airing on mainstream TV - and weeks after filming started on the fourth series. In a statement, BBC Studios explained: "We’re sorry to share the news of the sad passing of much-loved creator of Sister Boniface, co-creator of Shakespeare and Hathaway and master of cosy crime, Jude Tindall. Jude's death came just weeks after filming started on the fourth series of Sister Boniface Mysteries, which has been a hit since it first aired two years ago with its tales of a nun in the 1960s solving crimes.
