BBC filming causes mass panic with 'explosions and fire' in London - 'It's carnage'
A huge fire broke out in east London after a number of loud bangs were heard across the River Thames which sparked panic among locals and reports the emergency services were at the scene
Pictures swiftly emerged on social media the evening of Saturday (August 31), showing alarming views of fire and smoke rising high into the air, with the incident taking place at Trinity Bouy Wharf an arts centre location just opposite the O2 Arena in London. Footage shared by an X user named Aussierobbo and the Englishgent captures a moment of shock: "So, just playing Fortnite and happen to be looking out the window... witnessed 3 consecutive explosions near London O2 on our side of the Thames. An X user, who goes by the name Lady Amilia of Bebbanburg, expressed her alarm on Twitter with the post: "Another fire outside my London flat..." Attached was a picture showing a red BBC World News lorry and a police van nearby.
