BBC EastEnders' Diane Parish reveals 'excruciating' role on soap years before Denise Fox

EastEnders' Diane Parish has looked back on the little-known role she played on the BBC soap before stepping into the character of Denise Fox, dubbing it 'excruciating'

On the TV show, Secrets of The Square, Diane confessed that playing singer Lola was not her cup of tea, saying: "It was the most excruciating role. Diane played DC Eva Sharpe in ITV drama The Bill from 2002-2004, which also starred her future on-screen EastEnders husband Scott Maslen as DS Phil Hunter. Denise recently left some important evidence at the place where Keanu Taylor's body was buried, which could lead the police straight to her.
