BBC EastEnders villain and former TV heartthrob totally unrecognisable in huge new role

EastEnders star Paul Nicholas, who played Gavin Sullivan in the soap, looks unrecognisable in his latest role as he returns to the stage in a new adaptation of a comedy classic

EastEnders' very own Paul Nicholas, who once graced Albert Square as Gavin Sullivan, is utterly unrecognisable in his latest role, as he steps into the shoes of a legendary Fawlty Towers character as part of the series' stage adaptation. While some fans may remember him fondly as Vince Pinner from the hit '80s series Just Good Friends, Paul Nicholas is set to wow audiences once again, this time at the Apollo Theatre in London's West End as part of a stage adaptation of the cult classic as it brings the show's trademark humour to a brand new generation. John Cleese also has high hopes for 'Fawlty Towers The Play' but advises fans to catch it "in June" when the cast has fully tuned into the audience's laughter and the new Basil Fawlty has settled into the iconic role, reports MyLondon.
