BBC Buys ‘Suits’ Following Smash Year On Netflix


The BBC has bought 'Suits' Following its Netflix success.

Set in a New York City law firm, Suits stars Patrick J. Adams ( Old School) as Mike Ross, who uses his photographic memory to talk his way into a job as an associate working for successful ‘closer’ Harvey Spector, played by Gabriel Macht ( Love & Other Drugs). Sue Deeks, Head of BBC Programme Acquisition, said: “This is a really exciting and enjoyable trio of star-studded series: the hotly-anticipated comedy, St. Denis Medical, the sassy, romantic comedy-drama, The Best Man: The Final Chapters, and the smart and stylish legal drama, Suits. Based on the eponymous Universal film franchise written and directed by Malcom D. Lee, Peacock’s The Best Man: The Final Chapters catches up with Harper (Taye Diggs, All American), Robyn (Sanaa Lathan, Succession), Jordan (Nia Long, NCIS: Los Angeles), Lance (Morris Chestnut, Rosewood), Quentin (Terrence Howard, Empire), Shelby (Melissa De Sousa, Our Kind of People), Candace (Regina Hall Nine Perfect Strangers), and Murch (Harold Perrineau, The Rookie).
