BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty is joining a new presenting role, alongside her already busy schedule, replacing Nihal Arthanayake, who has stepped down after eight years

The announcement sparked mixed reactions, with some fans excited about Naga's new role but others concerned about her potentially overlapping schedule with her other BBC Radio 5 Live duties. Broadcaster Scott Bryan took to Twitter to clear up any confusion, revealing that from Monday, September 2, Naga's duties on Radio 5 Live will be extended to carry on till 2pm. Chatting to Radio Today, at the time, Naga couldn't hide her elation, saying: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining the 5 Live team.
