BBC apologises over its handling of Huw Edwards complaint

The BBC has issued an apology to the family who made a complaint about News at Ten presenter Huw Edwards, over its handling of the allegation as it released a statement

Previously, in July last year, reports suggested that an unknown host was named in a complaint lodged to the BBC, which led to Huw's wife 'outing' him as the individual in question. Vicky shared: "In light of the recent reporting regarding the 'BBC Presenter' I am making this statement on behalf of my husband Huw Edwards, after what have been five extremely difficult days for our family. The events of the last few days have greatly worsened matters, he has suffered another serious episode and is now receiving in-patient hospital care where he'll stay for the foreseeable future."
