BBC Antiques Roadshow treasures in your loft - from childhood toys to old lamps

Antiques Roadshow regularly shines a light on old household items, keepsakes or family heirlooms - however, some people's belongings are often worth more than they've ever imagined

Granted, not every belonging featured on the show amasses a fortune similar to the 1996 Only Fools and Horses episode, 'Time On Our Hands,' where Del Boy and Rodney finally become millionaires after they auction off an old pocket watch at Sotheby's. For example, in 2018, Charlotte Bronte's mourning ring was brought in after a man found it in a box in an attic, alongside a lock of her hair. Of course, not everyone will have access to the guitar owned by a musical icon, nor will they find the ring of a famous English novelist and poet lying around in their loft.
