BBC Adapting Jacqueline Wilson’s Ode To ‘The Railway Children’; Studiocanal Physical Production Boss – Global Briefs

The BBC is adapting Jacqueline Wilson's 'Primrose Railway Children' and has ordered a comedy with Robert Webb and Isy Suttie.

The book is itself based on The Railway Children, which was also remade as a movie recently starring Jenny Agutter, Tom Courtenay and Sheridan Smith. Margaret Conway is the latest in a string of hires and promotions revealed by the French major over the past few months and will report to newly-appointed Executive Managing Director TV Series M-K Kennedy, who just joined from Netflix. As part of the reshuffle, Emmanuel Jacquelin, who currently oversees physical production for Studiocanal’s French series, will report to Conway from next month.
