BBC 'forced to apologise over complaint about Escape to the Countryside scene'
The BBC has reporetedly been forced to apologise after a complaint was made about a scene from a recent episode of Escape to the Country that was filmed in Scotland
However, the scene has reportedly sparked criticism since its broadcast just weeks ago over suggestions that it violated the Highway Code, which advises against parking on passing places on country roads. A local resident reportedly took to private Facebook group NC500 The Land Weeps, expressing that while it was "slightly heartening" to see the BBC acknowledge their mistake, they felt the broadcaster "shouldn't have done this in the first place". The BBC has reportedly addressed a viewer's complaint over the episodeThe email read: "You are of course correct that no matter how brief that filming was for, the Highway Code does advise that drivers should not park in passing places."
