Batman Actor Michael Keaton Breaks Silence On Cancelled ‘Batgirl’ Film

Is Michael Keaton still torn up over the canned Batgirl? The Batman actor gives his thoughts on the ill-fated DC film cancelled for a tax write-off.

Fresh off Michael Keaton’s beloved return as Batman in the controversial The Flash movie, the film was set to bring Barbara Gordon to the big screen joined by Oscar winner Brendan Fraser and rising directing juggernauts Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. The film was scrapped, with Michael Keaton’s return as Batman locked away forever behind a wall of corporate mergers and priority shuffling at DC Studios, leaving many to wonder what could have been if the movie ever saw the light of day. While it’s a shame that Michael Keaton won’t be picketing outside of Warner Bros. to try to get Batgirl released, it’s good that the actor doesn’t have any regrets about what may have been his final chance to return as Batman sitting on the shelf.
