Bartees Strange Delivers an Interstate Love Song With New Single ‘Lie 95’

Bartees Strange pens a literal 'interstate love song' on the singer-songwriter’s new single 'Lie 95.'

Strange paired the single — his original new song of 2024 following “Big Glow” off the I Saw the TV Glow soundtrack — with a Vincent Martell & Jordan Phelps-directed video where two people (both played by Strange) embark on a road trip that leaves a trail of trashed motel rooms in its wake. “Lie 95” was co-produced by Strange and notcharles along with longtime creative collaborator Graham Richman, and features additional vocals courtesy of Charlene Gibbs and singer Kacy Hill, who Rolling Stone alsorecently profiled. Strange has kept busy since the release of his acclaimed 2022 sophomore LP Farm to Table, touring with the likes of the National, Clairo, and boygenius.
