Barbie star America Ferrera says she 'can't believe Oscar nomination is real' but reveals 'incredible disappointment' over Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig snubs

Barbie star America Ferrera shared her emotional reaction to her first Oscar nomination on Tuesday - but admitted she feels 'idisappointment' over Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig's snubs.

Ferrera, 39, who played Gloria in the 2023 billion dollar blockbuster, landed a nod in the Best Supporting Actress category alongside Emily Blunt, Oppenheimer, Danielle Brooks, The Color Purple, Jodie Foster, Nyad and Da’Vine Joy Randolph, The Holdovers. However, the son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan moved on to say I'm Just Ken from Barbie written by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt which received audible boos from the audience which could clearly be heard on the livestream. Meanwhile fury is mounting on social media after Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig were snubbed for Oscar nominations for their film Barbie as two most prominent women involved in last year's billion-dollar blockbuster were notably left out.
