Barbie Honors Acting Legend Rita Moreno with Doll Ahead of Her 93rd Birthday: 'Embrace Your Limitless Possibilities'

Barbie is honoring Rita Moreno with a brand-new doll created in her likeness, which she's hoping inspires girls to "live their life with courage and resilience so that they can make their dreams a reality."

The mini wardrobe is of course inspired by Moreno's own most famous red carpet moments — wearing a black-and-gold gown with a strapless sweetheart neckline and a metallic-designed skirt, all of which is reflective of some of her most iconic looks. Krista Berger, senior vice president of Barbie and global head of dolls, Mattel, said in a statement that its an "honor" to have Moreno be part of the Tribute Collection — which also features the likes of Laverne Cox, Lucille Ball and more. "Her fierce advocacy for the Latino community and her tireless commitment to pursuing her passions in the performing arts perfectly encapsulates Barbie’s mission to inspire the next generation to lean into what lights their spark, chart their own paths, and believe in their limitless possibilities.”
